Libraries of the Australian Technology Network

Libraries of the Australian Technology Network of Universities (LATN) comprise the university libraries of:

The Libraries of the ATN are characterised by a focus on high quality services and the bold, innovative application of technology in an academic library context. 

The objectives of LATN are to:

  • Share information and collaborate on the development of initiatives which are of interest to members. This includes:
    • benchmarking library services to inform best practice with respect to the provision of teaching, learning and research support
    • drawing on the expertise of other member libraries wherever possible for short term consultancy and advice and where appropriate sharing the reports and conclusions related to that advice with other members
    • seeking strategic and mutually beneficial alliances with similar library networks
  • Help to facilitate the professional development of member library staff. This includes:
    • convening an annual seminar to provide strategic professional development and networking opportunities
    • providing Fellowships to enable library staff to investigate issues and challenges that are of strategic importance to LATN

LATN Chair

The LATN Chair is rotated amongst the member university representatives every 2 years and is aligned with the chair of the Australian Technology Network (ATN). Kylie Percival (Curtin University) is the current chair.
