Council

CAUL Members form the Council. They currently comprise the university librarians (or equivalent) at Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand universities. Since 2025, membership has also been open to the university librarians (or equivalent) of Australasian universities recognised as universities by their respective governments.

CAUL’s Members from Aotearoa New Zealand also form the Council of New Zealand University Librarians (CONZUL), a committee of Universities New Zealand (UNZ).

As a group, the Members are CAUL.

Consortium participation

All CAUL Members’ institutions participate in the CAUL Consortium. Additionally, there are a small number of non-Council participants in the Consortium. Find out more about consortium participation.
