The purpose of the Learning and Teaching Leaders Community of Practice is to provide a forum for CAUL Member institution staff to engage in collegial professional learning and information sharing related to library learning and teaching at a management and leadership level.
The Community of Practice provides a forum for:
- Exchange of ideas
- Information sharing
- Peer support
- Exploration of issues
- Discussion of recent developments and practises
- Community-led training and professional development.
The Charter provides more information about the community of practice, including its purpose, scope, and participants’ roles and responsibilities.
Convenors
The network is co-convened by two CAUL Member institution staff appointed by the community from among its members. The current convenors are:
- Linda Parker, Associate University Librarian, Student Skills and Engagement, Western Sydney University
- Mark Bassett, Learning Advisor / Senior Lecturer, Auckland University of Technology
- Peter Smith, Associate Director, Student Engagement & Library Experience, University of New South Wales

Membership is open to two members per institution, to be nominated by the institution.
