Open Access Agreements Management Community of Practice

The purpose of the Open Access Agreements Management Community of Practice is to provide a forum for CAUL Member institution staff to engage in collegial professional learning and information sharing related to the management of Open Access agreements.

The Charter provides more information about the community of practice, including its purpose, scope, and participants’ roles and responsibilities. 

Objectives of the Community of Practice:

  • Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas.
  • Facilitate information sharing on best practices, strategies, and resources.
  • Offer peer support for addressing challenges.
  • Encourage the exploration of key issues impacting agreements.
  • Foster discussions on recent developments and evolving practices in the field.
  • Organise community-led training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

The Community of Practice focuses on the management of Open Access agreements in institutions, including the ways that library staff work within the broader institution to support their ongoing adoption and development. 

Discussions focus on

  • read and publish agreements negotiated by CAUL
  • other Open Access agreements, including those that institutions have directly with publishers.

Membership

Membership is open to staff of CAUL Member institutions.
