The Diamond Journal Publishing sub-group of the Australian Scholarly Communications Community of Practice (AuSCCoP) is an initiative of Open Access Australasia, CAUL and Creative Commons Australia. Diamond open access refers to a scholarly publication model in which journals and platforms do not charge fees to either authors or readers. The Diamond Open Access sub-group’s mission is to advocate for inclusive, equitable, sustainable, community-controlled open access publishing with no fees to either the reader or the author. This participatory and engaging community supports each other with everyday practice and provides opportunities for discussion, development, and dissemination of best practices and strategies to support realising the community’s mission.
