The CAUL OER Collective Grants Program enables the creation and publication of open textbooks that address critical gaps in locally relevant, high-quality educational resources for our region. The program builds sustainable capability across Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand universities by supporting academic authors and libraries with funding, infrastructure, and community-based expertise. It prioritises Indigenous content and knowledge, regional relevance, and collaborative development, ensuring funded projects reflect the diversity and values of our institutions. More than 40 universities have engaged with the program, demonstrating its role as a catalyst for sector-wide change in open education.
