Equity, diversity and inclusion

University libraries have a diverse workforce, and across Member institution libraries, many diversity facets, including neurodivergence and disability, are more represented in our staff profile than in the general population. In other areas, such as the representation of Indigenous populations, significant work remains to ensure our staff profile represents the general population.

CAUL is a values-led organisation, and inclusivity is one of our core values. We approach our work with equity, diversity, and inclusion at the forefront of our minds.

Projects

Projects by the Council of Australasian University Librarians (CAUL) are time-bound, collaborative initiatives that translate strategic goals into tangible outcomes for member institutions. These projects are the practical implementation of CAUL's broader programs, designed to explore new ideas, develop shared solutions, and deliver specific resources or frameworks.
