Open Educational Resources

Open educational resources play a vital role in making higher education more accessible, equitable and affordable for students. These freely available teaching and learning materials, which can be used, adapted and shared without cost, help reduce financial barriers to education while enabling educators to customise content for their teaching needs. CAUL supports university libraries in developing and promoting open educational resources as part of their commitment to improving educational outcomes and reducing the cost of study materials for students across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Through advocacy, collaborative infrastructure, publishing support and professional development, CAUL enables university libraries to work together effectively to advance open educational resources at scale.
